Who Had a Better Year: Wine or Spirits?

Throughout 2010 we heard the words "slow recovery" many times. Looking back that seems to be the case, particularly for the spirits industry. Overall, wine posted stronger sales and volume growth and better pricing for the year, but spirits saw improving trends across the board, which holds promise for 2011. This is according to Nielsen scan data in food, drug and major market liquor stores in the 52-weeks ended Jan 8.
