Many of the headlines coming out of Washington State are focused on impending privatization set to begin June 1. Recall that is when private retailers with the proper licenses can start selling spirits. The only thing that could stop it at this point is if the State Supreme Court hands down a decision overturning I-1183 on the grounds that it violates the state's single subject rule. Rumors abounded that the decision would come last week, but as you know that never happened. Now it's expected to be announced before June 1 (this Friday).
