After federal excise tax reduction passed as a part of the tax reform bill, wineries noticed a hiccup in the wording that excludes some wineries from taking advantage of the FET reduction [see WSD 03-21-2018]. Thanks to some grassroots efforts, the TTB has extended an "alternate procedure" that gives all wineries tax benefits through the end of 2019 (aka the expiration date on FET reduction).
