Spirits Has a Solid Feb but Discounts Continue
All the major spirits categories had a good month in February, according to Nielsen off-premise scan data in food, drug and major market liquor stores (excluding c-stores) in the 4-weeks to March 5. But that is likely due to a drop-off in pricing. The total spirits category grew 4.2% in dollar sales and 4% in volume, with an average price increase of 2 cents a bottle.
