In July, Southern Wine & Spirits applied for a wholesale license in the state of Missouri, but the alcohol and tobacco control division shut them down on the grounds that they are not eligible. In order to be considered a resident corporation, all of Southern's officers and directors must live in Missouri for three straight years.
