Sipsmith Controlling Interest Goes to Beam Suntory
Well that was fast. Earlier this week news leaked online that Sipsmith gin was looking for a buyer. And today, news out of London confirms Beam Suntory has taken a controlling interest in the company. Under the agreement, Beam Suntory has 100% of the voting rights, but Sipsmith's existing shareholders will retain a long-term interest, co-founder Sam Galsworthy told The Spirits Business, adding that the founders will stay on for the "forseeable future."
