Shift to High-End is Key to Australian Recovery

You may recall Australian wine imports are in the process of trying to climb back into the black after years of sluggish performances. As a part of this effort, Wine Australia, the country's trade organization, has begun the "Next Chapter" public relations campaign to call attention to the segment's changing reputation. In order to pinpoint its opportunities, Wine Australia recently partnered with Wine Opinions to find out how the trade feels about Australian wines. The survey respondents included: importers, distributors, on-premise, off-premise, as well as the trade's view on how consumers are behaving and how their attitudes are changing.
