PLCB to Have Complete Control Over Product Prices

An unfortunate side effect of the alcohol legislation passed in Pennsylvania over the summer--which includes wine in grocery and direct wine sales--is that suppliers could lose control over the price of their products, according to the Distilled Spirits Council (DSC). Per the language in the new legislation, deemed Act 39, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) was given the ability to implement "pricing flexibility." And if you thought pricing rules in Pennsylvania were tough before, they're about to get worse.
