Pernod Gains 15% in Q1

Pernod Ricard's organic sales grew 15% in the US, with its 14 top strategic brands gaining 16% in the first quarter (3 months ended September 30). This was well ahead of the total US spirits market, with sales up 2% in the same period based on Nielsen scan data. Jameson was a big part of that growth, with organic sales up 53%, while Absolut rose 4%. Furthermore, "the revitalization of Malibu and the strong performance" of The Glenlivet, Chivas Regal and Martell also contributed.
