Peerless Distilling Father-Son Duo Claim Spot on Whiskey Row
Nearly 100 years since its last production, Louisville-based Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co.-- once the second largest distillery in Kentucky-- was revived last year by the descendants of its original distiller Henry Kraver. As of its one year mark in June, the new distillery only sells Lucky Moonshine (which retails for about $20 a 750 ml), but they're busy putting away bourbon and rye to push into the super premium price category. On our recent trip to Louisville your editor sat down with the father-son team who run the business now, Corky and Carson Taylor, to discuss reviving the distillery, new products and where the company is headed.
