In 2014, Pernod Ricard introduced the Our/Vodka project to tap into the local spirits movement in the US. You may recall, the way it works is Pernod's Our/Vodka company partners with entrepreneurs in the chosen cities, builds them a distillery, gives them a recipe to create with local ingredients, and hands over the keys to let them run the business [see WSD 04-04-2014]. It's going a little slower than initially anticipated, but Our/Vodka now has six distilleries across the US in various stages, including Detroit, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Houston and Seattle.
