Oregon Retailers Warn Lawmakers

Earlier this week, in our coverage of Oregon's privatization efforts, we reported that the House Business and Labor Committee would solicit input on legislation for the 2013 session. During the hearings Northwest grocery lobbyist, Joe Gilliam (you'll remember he was standing by Costco in WA), allegedly threatened state lawmakers that if they don't loosen their grip on alcohol laws they may be facing an initiative to privatize the entire system, reports The Oregonian.
