Oregon Likely Headed for Privatization Vote
Yesterday was the last day for bills in the Oregon legislature to either make it out of committee or be abandoned. As a result of last week's predominantly negative hearing on the "hybrid model" alcohol system (see WSD 02-05-2014), lawmakers let the proposal die in committee, reports The Bulletin. However, they did create yet another task force that will be largely unnecessary if a privatization measure does get on the ballot.
