Despite the Oregon Liquor Control Commission's (OLCC) attempts to "modernize" the state's alcohol policy, the Northwest Grocery Association (NGA) has begun the process of adding a privatization measure to the 2014 ballot. The political group behind the initiative, Oregonians for Competition, has filed five initiative petitions aimed at privatizing the state's alcohol sales.
