Judge Rules Against Temporarily Blocking I-1183

It appears that the battle over Washington privatization will likely be drawn out in the courts, according to a Cowlitz County judge. Both sides are fighting to protect their interests, and if history tells us anything, neither is likely to back down. You'll recall a Washington retailer, a landlord for a state-owned liquor store and the Washington Association for the Prevention of Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention filed a lawsuit earlier this month in Cowlitz County against The State of Washington on the grounds that I-1183 violates the state's single subject rule. It is similar to a separate lawsuit filed by labor unions in King's County.
