Just as we head into the OND season, IRI has released its H1 recap for the spirits category. In recent years, spirits growth has outpaced wine and spirits, but facing some tough comparisons, spirits delivered less growth than both beer and wine in the first half of 2014. Year-to-date through July 6, spirits sales grew 2.6% while beer was up 5.5% and wine was up 4.1%, per the IRI.
