You may recall that Missouri distributor Major Brands is involved in a few lawsuits with some of its main suppliers (i.e. Pernod, Diageo and Bacardi) pertaining primarily to the state's franchise laws (see WSD 04-24-2013 if this doesn't ring a bell). Among its lawsuits the Bacardi case is particularly intricate as the two companies are essentially fighting the same argument in two different cases, one federal (in Florida) and one in the state court of Missouri (see WSD 07-11-2013).
