Inside a Big Wine Deal

Although the economy and consumer confidence is less-than-stellar (to put it mildly), a number of wineries have exchanged hands so far this year. The acquisition activity is especially high among a handful of private companies. On one end we see public companies like Brown-Forman and Diageo moving away from the wine business. But then there are the likes of Foley Family Wine, Vintage Wine Estates, Boisset Family Estates, Vincraft Group and Roll Global (parent company of Fiji water) snapping up wineries that are looking to sell.
