Full Circle with Avion’s Ken Austin

Almost a year ago today we interviewed Tequila Avion founder and chairman Ken Austin for the first time just as the brand made its big debut on HBO's Entourage. In the summer of 2010 Avion came out with both barrels blazing, generating high sales growth and brand awareness across the country. Back then Avion was available in only two markets: New York and California. Fast-forward a year later, and it is now available in 23 states and Ontario, Canada. Yesterday marked the latest chapter in Avion's success when Pernod Ricard announced it was taking a minority stake in the company and would distribute the brand worldwide. We spoke with Ken again this afternoon, who said the magnitude of the deal "hasn't really hit me yet because it happened very, very quickly. But it's really amazing and I'm very excited."
