Diageo Puts Emphasis on Growing Smirnoff, Captain Morgan and Crown Royal

In Diageo's fiscal year through June 30, the company continued to deliver strong price/mix in North America at the expense of volume, particularly in the standard vodka segment where Smirnoff resides. The company's growth was driven primarily by its reserve brands with innovation delivering incremental sales growth. As a result, the company's North American organic volumes were down 1% while sales were up 3%.
