Diageo Makes $115 Million Play in Kentucky
Not to be outdone by its bourbon-heavy competitors, Diageo has announced that it intends to spend $115 million to build a distillery and six warehouses in Kentucky over the next three years. The distillery will sit on 300 acres of property in Benson Pike and have a capacity of 750,000 cases. But perhaps more importantly, it will distill "a number of current and future Diageo bourbon and North American whiskey brands," said the company in a release.
