Could Diageo Soon Own Ketel One?

Well it could if the Nolet family extends the offer. Analysts at ING pointed out that on June 9 (Thursday), the Nolets are allowed to give Diageo the first right of refusal for the remaining 50% stake in Ketel One "for $900 million, plus interest costs," reports The Guardian. If Diageo decides not to buy the remaining 50% stake, it would have to pay a $100 million penalty, "while the family is then allowed to sell the stake to a third party (still with the right of refusal by Diageo)."
