Consumers say “Small” a Defining Factor in Craft
As much as the industry sometimes wishes the word "craft" would just fade away, we don't see that happening any time soon. Not only is it a well-known term in the beer category, consumers are beginning to use it more frequently in reference to spirits as well. In light of this, your editors thought it would be interesting to find out what terms and characteristics consumers have come to associate with craft alcohol products. For the third annual Wine & Spirits Daily Summit held this week your editors partnered with Nielsen to release a survey to 2,000 frequent drinkers asking them to answer the question:
