Constellation Sees Room for Price Increases in Wine Business

Constellation Brands has wrapped up its 2014 fiscal year delivering depletion growth of 3.5% for its US wine and spirits portfolio, while Focus Brands, including brands such as Rex Goliath, Kim Crawford, Mark West etc., were up nearly 6%. The growth was driven by a focus on promotion and marketing investments, said chief Rob Sands on the company earnings call this morning. As for spirits, Black Velvet volumes grew 11% in IRI channels for the year and Svedka posted double-digit consumer takeaway trends.
