Constellation Sees Big Opportunities

After shedding value wine brands like Almaden and Inglenook and the bulk of their UK and Australian wine businesses, Constellation has shifted its attention to its focus brands, which largely fall in the $5-$20 price range. With that they are tapping into the Moscato, sweet red, blended red and Malbec trends to name a few, with goals of improving mix. In fiscal 2011 they launched 12 new wine items, including Rex Goliath Free Range Red, Toasted Head Untamed Red, Black Box Malbec, Blufeld Riesling and Woodbridge sparkling wine.
