The rumors have been flying for a few weeks and it's finally official. Gruppo Campari has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Canadian Whisky producer Forty Creek Distillery for about $166.9 million. Campari notes that Forty Creek is the fastest growing brand in the Canadian whisky category in Canada and "well positioned" in the US.
