CABC Issues New Guidance for Wineries and Third Party Marketers
In a long awaited decision, the California ABC has issued a new industry advisory that seeks to clarify the rules for third party marketers, which means "unlicensed entities that are involved with the promotion, marketing and facilitation of sales" of wine directly to consumers on behalf of a licensed winery or retailer over the internet. Note that this only applies to California licensees.
