In 2015, the growth rate for Cognac shot up in the US, and has consistently outpaced the larger spirits category ever since. In 2016, value growth for Cognac was up 20%. And according to the Distilled Spirits Council, Brandy & Cognac accounted for 16% of spirits industry value growth in 2017, the same as vodka.
