Beam Responds to Johnny Love Vodka Suit

Beam has denied allegations of trademark infringement brought forth by JL Beverage in a lawsuit filed on March 18 in the US District Court of Nevada. You may recall that JL Beverage claims Beam's "Puckered Flavored Vodka" is infringing on its federally registered trademark for the "Johnny Love Vodka" design mark, which features puckered lips in place of the "o" in "Love" on the bottle. The lips are different colors depending on the flavor of the vodka. The Pucker's mark "is nearly identical in appearance to the JLV Mark and thus likely to be confused with" Johnny Love, according to the complaint.
