Sparkling wine, particularly prosecco, is up there with Moscato as one of those growth-driving categories that large wine companies have incorporated in their product lines over the past year or two. And with good reason. Sparkling wine outpaced table wine in 2011 with dollar sales climbing +7.6%, according to SymphonyIRI food and drugstore scans. Table wine, meanwhile, grew sales by +6%, but keep in mind that it's a much, much larger category.
