The owners of Banfi Vintners, the Mariani family, have been busy spreading their wings in the past year or so. At the end of 2010 the Mariani family purchased Pacific Rim Winemakers, which specializes in Washington Rieslings. Then earlier this month they announced plans to purchase Kenwood Vineyards and related assets from F. Korbel and Bros, which marks the Mariani family's entrance into California wine.
