Bacardi Takes Stake in Compass Box Scotch
In addition to acquiring Angel's Envy earlier this week, Bacardi has taken a minority stake in London-based Compass Box Whisky Co. and agreed to be a long-term supplier of Scotch for the company, reports Just-Drinks. Compass Box is a boutique Scotch whisky maker founded in 2000 by John Glaser, an American who started his career in the wine industry and went on to handle the international marketing for Johnnie Walker. It's blended Scotch brands include Asyla, Oak Cross, The Spice Tree, The Peat Monster and Hedonism. They are currently available in about 30 states retailing between $45 - $100.
