Are Ballot Initiatives the Way to Go?

Are ballot initiatives the best way to overhaul state alcohol regulations like privatization? It's that time of year when the kids are back in school and we're all transitioning from the lazy days of summer. News has been slow this month no doubt, but it's been a good opportunity to catch up with people in the industry and see what is on everybody's minds. One of those top issues is privatization. An argument that we've heard continually is that most voters are not qualified to make decisions when it comes to obscure alcohol policies, which is why many in the industry feel it is better left up to the legislature and not a ballot vote.
