Mahalo Spirits Group, one of the silent co-founding parties behind Angel's Envy, has taken a minority stake in Brooklyn-based Sorel hibiscus liqueur. You may recall from our recent profile on Sorel founder Jack Summers, he launched the brand in 2012 after a cancer scare left him wanting more out of life [see WSD 01-27-2015]. It has since expanded into 23 states and landed on menus at the P.J. Clarke's and Cuba Libre chains.
