Pernod Ricard has acquired a majority stake in Black Forest Distillers, the maker of Monkey 47 gin. Black Forest Distillers was founded in 2006 by Alexander Stein and distiller Christoph Keller. Monkey 47 is a dry gin produced in the Black Forest region of Germany and retails for around $45 per 350ml.
