Talk about news we didn't see coming. E&J Gallo has acquired California's Germain-Robin brand, one of the pioneers of the American brandy category. Under the terms of the agreement, Gallo gets the Germain-Robin brand, the inventory of brandies and all finished goods, per a release. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
