After a decade long partnership, Bacardi will fully acquire Patron Spirits International AG and the Patron brand, valuing it at $5.1 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2018, per a release from the company. You may recall, Bacardi has owned a minority stake in Patron since 2008[see WSD 07-01-2008].
