A Talk with Young’s Chris Underwood

There's no doubt that Young's Market has been busy. In April the company announced it had acquired the remaining 50% stake from Columbia Distributing in Young's-Columbia of Oregon and Young's-Columbia of Washington. Young's-Columbia is the largest distributor of wine in both states, with annual sales in excess of $500 million. Then in May Young's Market and Republic National Distributing Company announced they had entered into an agreement to merge their operations in Arizona. The name of the new company will be "Young's Market Company Southwest" and the president will be Mark Moser. The largest distributor in the state is Alliance Beverage (a j-v between Glazer's and Charmer), followed by Southern Wine & Spirits.
