A Talk with St. Supery ceo Emma Swain

It's a good time to run a super premium wine brand right now. For the 4 weeks to July 14, sales for domestic wines priced over $20 are up a whopping 21.7% in all IRI-measured channels. You may recall in a recent IRI ranking of the top 25 wines over $15, St. Supery (at around $22) came in at number 23 with sales growth of 41.4% for the 52 weeks to May 19 (see WSD 06-28-2013 ). On a recent trip to Napa, WSD sat down with St. Supery ceo Emma Swain to discuss how these sales trends are affecting business and what their plans are for 2013.
