7-Eleven Discusses Wine Strategy
We've previously reported that wines are finding a widening consumer base in the convenience channel. As a result of the growing trend, some c-stores are reevaluating their shelf space, and Dallas-based c-store chain 7-Eleven is leading the charge. Recall 7-Eleven recently announced it would be adding premium wines La Crema chardonnay, Louis Martini cabernet sauvignon, Kim Crawford sauvignon blanc and Wild Horse pinot noir to the shelves of 700 US stores (see WSD 10-18-2013 ). WSD recently caught up with Alan Beach, a merchandising VP for 7-Eleven, to gain more insight into the chain's wine strategy.
