This year's harvest was on the lighter side (approximately 3.8 million tons) compared to last year (3.9 million tons), and especially compared to the record 2013 harvest (4.2 million tons). But vintners are excited about the high quality of the crop and the Wine Institute emphasizes the smaller harvest will not impact supply.
